  • G'day Gene -  It seems we've finally connected by email  - this is just to confirm.  Cheers  Jo

  • Hello gene,

I hope all is well with you.  I seem to be doing more spinning and knitting.  However John Butler has darwn rugs for Jacqui and I.  They are large and very detailed, like his painitings.  it will be a long labour of love to complete them, but it is fascinating watching them develope,  often different to what one has in mind.  Do you find your works have a mind of their own.   Best wishes  Miriam

  • G'day Gene!

It was great to finally meet you! And although your videos and DVDs are great...it's the meeting in person that finally gives you substance!

The conference was great and your presence and contribution was terrific! I hope you got as much out of the gathering as you contributed!

    Warm regards,

    Judi (QLD, Australia)

  • I love it Gene that you have a photo of your pavlova in with your rugs.Hope all is going well for you. Best wishes Miriam
  • Gene the idea of a Historic Places with Hooked Rugs is a great idea. Lets work up a Group heading where people can add comments as they sight places. Eventually a map could be made and uploaded like Judi Tompkins has done under Members. This information would be great on the public site www.tighr.net also.
  • It boggles the mind to think of women getting around in this type of gear in the Aussie bush and the extremely hot weather conditions here. (lol)

  • Well that didn't really work (lol) in this format you can't make the picture BIG to read the words - as I remember the poster referred to paper-cut patterns from America!
  • Hi Gene - I've just been adding some of my trip photos to My Page thougt I'd send you the one referring to

    Miss Weigel
  • Hey Gene - hope you got away from Sydney without any hassles. Ted is hopefully taking off from Tripoli as I type this and Judy's daughter-in-law left Sydney early this morning - we were thinking about all the people we knew in the air today as we drove down the highway - we are now just one day away from Strathalbyn - had some rain this afternoon - it was the only rain we've had this trip.
I've finally been able to get online - so will go catch up with your blog. Cheers Jo
  • Welcome to the international world. Gene I am sure your contributions will benefit us all. And we to you. Look forward to seeing you in August in Sauder and we can talk more about this great group.
Await reports on your trip down under to visit the Rugcrafters of Australia in April
