  • Hi Susan I was just coming to tell you about Joyce a new TIGHR member from Australia - but I see she has already been here to say "Hello". In 2008 when we had the Exhibition in Strathalbyn we were billing it as "The first rag rug exhibition in South Aust) and old guy from the newspaper told us we were off base - said it used to be very popular in the late 1960's - and the morning of the "Opening" Joyce called and introduced herself and came to the exhibition with a great number of rugs!
  • Susan - I'm having a great time approving new members as they accept. Have offered you as a mentor for "tech" problems with this site.
Ooops - forgot you were going to be away for a week at a workshop - I'm hoping members will see this here and understand.
  • Susan - Am glad to be your friend ... I have to figure out the site, however, to be a good friend! Am helping host 100+ hookers the next 2 days in Anaheim, then will try to navigate TIGHR better. Gene
  • Whoa - my fingers sort of ran away with me at the end of that message - what I meant to say was there are only a few Aussies on this site who could come - just want the rest to see what we are up to (lol) Must go tell Miriam and Jacqui - to go online and have a look.
  • OK - want to join us for a cuppa? I just uploaded a picture of the flyer for the Milton Exhibition Miriam sent me. Couldn't figure out how to upload a pdf file - so did it the hard way (lol) what's new! Saved as pdf & printed then scanned and saved as a .jpg picture (web small) and uploaded that! I know there not many to see they who could come but was just experimenting (lol)
  • Just read you comments about ATC's on Ann B.'s page about working on them now for trading in 2012 -- Judy and I were discussing this very thing and thought about including a free pattern with an Aussie bent in each issue of HM. We can still continue the tradition of the Friendship Square - we have a thought on presenting that with a difference too but will wait until we've had time to discuss it with the rest of the Board.
  • G'day!
I don't think I have patent on swapping a C for a K and calling my stuff Kup Karpets. I was really trying to convey the idea that the "little mats" were like small area rugs or carpets ("woven and bound")...plus I really hate conventional "coaster" which are generally useless and cling to the bottom of your cup just long enough to fall off into your lap with a load of condensation! So...apply it as you will! J
  • OK...I give up...what's an ATC?
  • Gulp! OK....do you want a new group started then? I've looked at the setup for a group on TIGHR....what other websites do you want it tied to? I can if you want set it up (providing it works) and you can fine tune it (or tell me how to?) I'll start chipping away at this mess this weekend (since we'll be up to our necks in more rain I think)...OK J
  • Well -- I've just played with my page and moved the Profile Information - feeling very proud of myself!!!
Now must go do something constructive (lol) Why don't we suggest Anne start a "Group" for ATC's and/or Kim to follow up from Louisville Tri/Group - OK ladies - spread the word to those of us who dont know about "ATCs" ???????
