Anne, if you check Deanne's website under "workshops" she lists accommodations in Amherst.

Hi Anne
Do you know the dates you will be here? Amherst is about a two hour drive from Halifax. I'm sure there is a bus or you could rent a car. It's an easy drive. You will love Deanne's studio and shop. Really is a " must see". Let me know your details when time gets closer and if I'm home I'll introduce you to some friendly hookers and take you there myself. Let me know!
